REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) appreciated advises given by Central Board of Muhammadiyah. He got the advises during a visit to Muhammadiyah Da’wah Center Building on Thursday (August 23).

Jokowi said he discussed various matters, especially economic issues, welfare, and health issues in his meeting with Muhammadiyah general chairman, Haedar Nasir and a number of other officials of the Islamic mass organization.

“I and Muhammadiyah chairman talked about a lot of things, especially related to fair economy, health, and also implementation of Health Care and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan), including women's and children's health,” Jokowi said.

They also discussed about redistribution of assets and Islamic bank.

Jokowi welcomed all suggestions from Muhammadiyah. Neverthless, he admitted that some of those advices still needed to be planned carefully before being implemented.

“I think all the inputs and suggestions from Muhammadiyah are very good. There are things we can directly implement, but there are things we have to plan and maybe we can set budget in the following years,” Jokowi who is running in the presidential election 2019 added.

During his visit, Jokowi was accompanied by a number of ministers. Among them were State Secretary Minister Pratikno, Education and Culture Minister Muhadjir Effendy, and president special staff coordinator Teten Masduki.
