REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The meeting between Democratic Party general chairman and also former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and Gerindra Party chief patron Prabowo Subianto that was scheduled on Wednesday (July 18) must be postponed. It was due to SBY’s health condition.
Democratic Party confirmed that SBY is currently being treated at Gatot Subroto Army Hospital (RSPAD) Jakarta. He was exhausted after travelling to Pacitan and Yogyakarta. The doctor suggested him to be hospitalized since Tuesday (July 17).
“The meeting is delayed because Mr SBY was exhausted after trip and he is being treated at RSPAD,” said Democratic Party central board vice chairman Syarief Hasan on Wednesday (July 18).
However, Syarief did not mentioned the re-scheduled time of the meeting between SBY and Prabowo.
Earlier, Gerindra Party general secretary Ahmad Muzani said the two parties leader will discuss the possibility to pair Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) as Prabowo’s running mate. He hoped the meeting will be a productive one.
