REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno denied the allegation from Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) faction at Jakarta Regional Legislative Council on the unqualified opinion (WTP) given by Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) to the Jakarta Provincial Government. He asserted no compromise has been done in order to get the predicate.

"We believe WTP can be achieved with struggle, and we also thank for the guidance from BPK," said Sandiaga on Tuesday (June 5).

According to him, compromise could not bring Jakarta Provincial Government to reach WTP. He said BPK has strict standards for WTP achievement.

BPK only said the clues that must be fulfilled. If unfulfilled, the agency would not give WTP predicate.

In addition, Sandiaga said WTP achievement was a result of hard work from Jakarta Provincial Government. He expected with the achievement, financial management in capital city can be more accountable.

Sandiaga also expressed his gratitude to Jakarta Regional Legislative Council (DPRD). He said without special committee that formed by DPRD, WTP achievement can not be reached.

"WTP can be achieved because colossal work of Jakarta Provincial Government and Regional Legislative Council," Sandiaga added.

Previously, PDIP politician considered it was strange for Jakarta Provincial Government to achieve unqualified opinion on its financial report. Chairman of PDIP faction at Jakarta Regional Legislative Council, Gembong Warsono said the achievement could not be separated from the compromise done by the provincial government leader.

Gembong also said that BPK has shown different attitude toward the current provincial government. Moreover, land status of Sumber Waras has not been clear yet. Therefore, Gembong assessed BPK has been practicing a double standard in the assessment.

The case has made the previous Jakarta governor unable to get WTP predicate, he said. "Furthermore, previous administration did not want to compromise, while the current government is now compromised. That's just the problem," Gembong said.
