Surabaya police headquarters bombing victims identified

Four policemen and six civilians fell victims to Surabaya police HQ suicide bombing.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- East Java Police revealed that 10 people have been injured in a vehicle bomb attack in Surabaya City Police Headquarters on Monday. Head of Public Relations of East Java Police Commissioner, Frans Barung Mangera, stated that the 10 people included four police personnel and six civilians, who are being treated in Bhayangkara Hospital of East Java Police.

"The four police personnel are Second Police Brigadier M Maufan, Chief Police Brigadier Rendra, Second Police Inspector Adjutant Umar, and First Police Brigadier Dimas Indra," he noted.

The six civilians were Atik Budi Setia Rahayu, Raden Aidi Ramadhan, Ari Hartono, Ainur Rofiq, Ratih Atri Rahma, and Eli Hamidah.

He stated the series of bomb attacks both in Surabaya city and Sidoarjo in East Java province were simultaneous.

"We will continue to update the data. The police will be tough and not waver," he added.

Previously, a two-wheeler exploded in front of Surabaya City Police Headquarters on Monday at 08:50 a.m. local time.
