REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Crescent Star Party (PBB) assessed former Indonesian Military (TNI) commander, Gatot Nurmayanto would not be carried by Gerindra Party as its party chief patron Prabowo Subianto's running mate in the presidential election 2019. Last week, Gatot has met with Prabowo.

"I'm not guessing or preceding, but I think the pair of two generals will be less likely to happened," PBB's head of winning team in the presidential election 2019 Sukmo Harsono said on Wednesday (March 28).

However, Sukmo said Gatot has good electability for 2019 presidential election, based on all surveys. On the other hand, almost all surveys also said that Prabowo is still superior as presidential candidate.

As Prabowo has not gave any sign, Sukmo could not predict whether Prabowo prefered to be a king maker and carry Gatot as candidate in presidential election or else. He said only Prabowo himself who can answer the mystery.

However, Sukmo invited the new coalition of nationalist-Islamist parties to be realistic and to set aside their ego. PBB has been trying to build communication with Gerindra, Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), and National Mandate Party (PAN). "and PKB to form a new coalition.
