REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Deputy speaker House of Representatives (DPR) Fadli Zon filed a police report against Twitter account @anandasukarlan on alleged defamation and spreading hoax. Fadli said music composer Ananda Sukarlan has re-tweeted a fake photo and caption.
"This is part of our effort in supporting the fight against hoax," he said at National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim), Jakarta, on Friday (March 2).
The photo was originally uploaded by @stlaSoso1. However, the account has removed the photo upload.

Fadli explained the fake photo re-tweeted by Ananda showed he along with Gerindra party chief patron Prabowo Subianto was dining with a young man. The caption said, Fadli and Prabowo were having a launch with administrator of hoax spreader group Muslim Cyber Army.
According to Fadli, he did had lunch with Prabowo and the young man as seen in the photograph. However, the young man was not as alleged by Ananda. "He is Eko, a supporter of Anies Baswedan who walked from Madiun to Jakarta during Jakarta gubernatorial election 2017," he remarked.
In addition to Ananda, Fadli also reported a number of other social media accounts. "I also report lambe turah and another account that was the first uploader. I can't remember the name," he said.
