REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) appointed Ngada Regent, Marianus Sae as the suspect of bribery case related to procurement project of goods and services in Government of Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Marianus allegedly took a bribe from PT Sinar 99 Permai (S99P) director Wilhemus Iwan Ulumbu.

"After conducting 24 hours examination and proceeded with case review, we conclude there is an alleged bribery case related to projects in Ngada regency," said KPK deputy chairman Basaria Panjaitan in a press conference on Monday (Feb 12).

KPK increased the case status into investigation. The two suspects have been appointed in the bribery case, namely Ngada Regent Marinanus and S99P director Wilhelmus.

Wilhemus allegedly have given money as fee projects in Ngada regency to Marianus. He is one of the contractors in Ngada who often get projects since 2011, Basaria explained.

Furthermore, Wilhelmus also opened a bank account on his behalf since 2011 and give it to Marianus in 2015. KPK said the total of money transferred and handed over by cash by Wilhelmus to Marianus was around Rp 4,1 billion.

According to Basaria, Wilhelmus was promised to win the projects in Ngada regency, which worth for Rp 54 billion, consisting the constructions of Poma Boras road, Boawe bridge, Ranamoeteni road, Riominsimarunggela road, Tadawaebella road, Emerewaibella road, and Warbetutarawaja road.

Marianus is alleged to violate Article 12 sub-Article or Article 12 Sub-Article b or Article 11 of Law No. 31/1999 which amended by Law No. 20/2001 on Eradication of Corruption. Meanwhile, Wilhelmus is alleged to violate Article 5 paragraph 1 letter a or letter b or Article 13.
