REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Ignasius Jonan expected the implementation of the single-price fuel program for remote and outermost regions to be completed by the end of 2019. He said, there will be 150 units of oil fuels (BBM) terminal to serve in in 150 sub-districts in December 2019.

"This is a three years project. It can not be done in one year because the terminals to be built located in far-way regions," he said in Jakarta, on Monday (January 8).

In 2017, ESDM ministry recorded Pertamina has build 54 units of single-price fuel distribution terminal. Meanwhile, PT AKR finished three units. "Thanks to Pertamina and AKR for implementing the project and Downstream Regulatory Body for Oil and Gas (BPH Migas) for supervising the implementation of single-price fuel program," Jonan said.

Jonan admitted it was not easy to realize of single-price fuel for remote and outermost regions. The realization of these national strategic program is considered to require the efforts of all parties. In addition, investment opportunities and creation of investment friendly climate are also needed to be improved.

"The challenge in implementing single-price fuel is huge, but this is the one and only program from national strategic program in the ESDM ministry that 100 percent achieved," Jonan said.
