REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Musicians Ahmad Dhani met the South Jakarta Metro Police investigator's summons  hate speech over social media" href="http://en.republika.co.id/berita/en/national-politics/17/11/29/p06qno414-ahmad-dhani-to-be-examined-as-hate-speech-suspect" target="_blank">to be questioned as a suspect of alleged hate speech over social media.

"We will follow the existing rules," said Dhani's lawyer, Ali Lubis, who accompanied Dhani in South Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters, Thursday (November 30).

Ali said his client responded positively to Police's first summons and he was willing to be questioned. Dhani, who arrived at around 13:45 pm, accompanied by a team of lawyers to the examination room. 

Dhani did not have time to answer the reporters' question related to the examination. 

Chief of South Jakarta Metro Police, Iwan Kurniawan said that investigators had sent a summons to Dhani as a suspect on Thursday (November 30).

However, he said investigators did not have any plan to arrest or ban the husband of singer Mulan Jameela. 

The investigator named Dhani as a suspect since case screening on November 23. Iwan said, the investigators found two evidences to set Dhani as a suspect.

A resident named Jack Lapian reported Dhani who wrote the status that is considered inciting and spreading hatred through Twitter account "@AHMADDHANIPRAST" on March 6, 2017. 

Jack Lapian reported Dhani to Jakarta Metro Police based on Police Report No. LP / 1192 / III / 2017 / PMJ / Dit Reskrimsus related to Article 28 paragraph 2 juncto Article 45 paragraph 2 of Law RI Number 19 Year 2016 on Transaction and Electronic Information (ITE).

However, Jakarta Metro Police delegated the investigation report to South Jakarta Metro Police.
