Ade Komarudin to help KPK resolve e-ID card graft case

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- House of Representatives' former speaker, Ade Komarudin came to Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to meet the the summons to be questioned as witness for suspect Setya Novanto in e-ID card procurement graft case. 

He claimed that he would continue to assist the anti corruption agency to resolve the corruption case of e- ID procurement.

"I have to be ready to help corruption eradication by KPK and I'm certainly concerned in helping it," said Ade after being examined at KPK office in Jakarta, Wednesday (November 22).

He admitted, informations given to KPK was the same as when he was a witness in the e-ID card graft case hearing in the Corruption Court of Jakarta. 

"The informations are same as in corruption court. Nothing has changed. So the process completed quickly," said Ade.

Ade, who was the secretary of the Golkar Party faction from 2009 to 2014, once testified at the e-ID trial for suspects Irman and Sugiharto, on April 6. 

Ade claimed to have asked Aburizal Bakrie, Golkar Party chairman at that time, to remind Setnov related to e-ID project. 

Following the conversation, Ade was approached by Setnov.

"One day Pak Nov came to my house. He talked a lot of things. About e-ID, he said to me, "about e-ID, it's safe". I replied, "Alhamdulillah if it's safe, so the party will not disperse." I'm concerned about that. Thank Goodness I said that, "Ade said before the panel of judges at the time.

On Wednesday (November 22), KPK examined three witnesses to investigate e-ID case with the suspect Setya Novanto, namely former Gunung Agung boss Made Oka, former House of Representatives speaker Ade Komarudin, and tasks executor of the House's General Secretariat Damayanti.
