REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Setya Novanto's lawyer, Fredrich Yunadi, has file a police report against four high-ranked Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officials.
He said, the four KPK leaders took part in issuing and setting his client as suspect in the corruption case of e-ID card procurement in 2011-2012.
"Team of Setya Novanto's lawyer have reported Agus Raharjo, Aris Budiman, Saut Situmorang and A Damanik to the Criminal Investigation Agency of National Police (Bareskrim) for alleged violation of Article 414 juncto 421 of Criminal Code," he said at Bareskrim office, Gambir, Central Jakarta, on Friday (November 10).
The petitioner of police report numbered LP / 1192 / XI / 2017 / Bareskrim was Achmad Rudyansyah, Fredrich said.
Fredrich remarked that KPK has insulted the judge's verdict on pretrial motion won by his client on September 29.
Point number three of the verdict ordered KPK to stop the investigation against Novanto as in sprindik number 56, he said.
"It means what had to be stopped was all that listed in sprindik. The verdict not only applied to sprindik number," he explained.
Alleged falsification of letter and abuse of authority
Meanwhile, Bareskrim on Friday (November 10) said possibly there will be another high-ranked KPK official ensnared in the case of alleged falsification of document and abuse of authority in requesting travel ban to Novanto.
"KPK authority is collective collegial. Threfore, it might be possible to name other suspect," he said.
On October 9, Fredrich reported the Chairman of KPK Agus Rahadjo and his deputy Saut Situmorang to the police. He believed, KPK leaders have violated Article 55 paragraph 1 and Article 421 of Criminal Code (KUHP).
Public Relations of National Police Inspector General Setyo Wasisto said, the two KPK leaders were reported by Sandy Kurniawan for proposing extension of period of overseas deterrence against Novanto.
