REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has re-scheduled examination against Chairman of House of Representatives (DPR), Setya Novanto. He would be examined as a witness for one of the suspects, Anang Sugiana Sudihardjo (ASS) in high-profile e-ID card graft case.

"We will re-summon him as we need to further investigate the suspect Anang Sugiana Sudihardjo," said KPK spokesman, Febri Diansyah on Monday (Oct 30).

Earlier, KPK has received a letter signed by Setya. According to Febri, Setya explained that he could not attend the summon because at the same time he has other obligation related to recess activities as chairman of the House.

"He said, he has to meet with constituents, so he can not met the summon to be questioned as a witness," Febri added.

On September 27, Anang as the President Director of Quadra Solution Company was named as suspect in e-ID card procurement corruption case. He was the fourth suspect after Irman, Sugiharto, Andi Narogong, and Markus Nari. 

He was suspected to cooperate with Setya, Andi Narogong, Irman, Sugiharto cs. Anang allegedly participated in the handover of money to Setya and several number of members of the House. The money was alleged given through Andi Andi Narogong.

He was alleged violated Article 2 paragraph (1) subsider Article 3 of La no.31/1999 as amended in Law no. 20/2001 of Eradiction of Corruption in Article 55 paragraph (1) book one Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, Setya has previously also missed KPK summonses for questioning as a suspect on September 11 and 18 citing illness. 

But later on September 29, he has succeeded with a pretrial motion and invalid the suspect status on his e-ID graft case. 

On October 9, he also failed to testifyas a witness at the trial of e-ID card corruption case defendant Andi Agustinus alias Andi Narogong at the Jakarta Corruption Court.
