REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Kumolo said Lieu of Law (Perppu) No. 2/2017 on Mass Organizations (Ormas) could be revised. However, the details of which part that need to be revised must be clear.

"Yes it's okay to revise, but which part that needs to be revised? If it is about the punishment, I am willing to discuss it," Tjahjo said before meeting with Commission III DPR on Monday (October 23).

Nevertheless, Tjahjo asserted certain things in Perppu Ormas that are already final. He said, related points of Pancasila, 1945 Constitution, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) and Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) could not be compromised.

"We can discuss other things beside that important part," Tjahjo added.

He hoped that the first decision-making and discussion about Perppu Ormas at House Commission II can be through consensus. So that, the plenary meeting on October 26 would only report from the DPR's decision through Commission II of DPR.
