REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- General Election Commissions (KPU) reiterated political parties interested to register 2019 presidential election should complete the political party information system (Sipol). The policy was issued as regulation number 11 by KPU.

"In addition to regulation number 11, there is a decree number 174 which has detailed the process of registration and one of them is mandatory sipol," said commissioner of KPU, Viryan Aziz, Monday (October 9).

He explained, KPU could not accept registration of political parties that have not complete data entry of Sipol. KPU must be fair to every candidate participated in 2019 election.

However, Sipol was not merely a product of KPU. It has a clear legal aspect. 

On Monday, KPU received registration of Perindo party as a candidate for the 2019 election. Aziz said so far Perindo is still the one and only party registered for 2019 presidential election.

Until Monday afternoon, KPU noticed 11 political parties are still trying to complete data input of its member to Sipol. Aziz said, those parties are 25 percent away from completion.

Meanwhile, another 10 political parties have not reach 75 percent of completion as regulated by KPU. In addition, another nine political parties have not begin to record their datas. 

Aziz explained, the number of political parties officially registered has legal entities in the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights as many as 73 political parties.

The registration of election participants is open for 14 days, from Tuesday (October 3) to the upcoming Monday (October 160). Registration on the first day until the 13th day is open from 08.00 WIB - 16.00 Western Indonesian Standard Time.

Meanwhile, registration on the 14th day opened since at 08.00 WIB-24.00 Western Indonesian Standard Time.
