REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Directorate of Special Crimes Jakarta Police has received a request on the issuance of the Investigation Termination Letter (SP3) of alleged steamy conversation case involving Habib M. Rizieq Shihab as suspect, Wednesday (23/8).

Head of Public Relations Jakarta Police Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono did not want to speculate on the issuance of SP3.

He said SP3 could not be issued without full consideration.

Argo said the police also would conduct further investigation before answering the proposed letter.

"It's not as easy as we can imagine, The investigators must have their own views on this case, whether the case has criminal elements or not. They also consider all the witnesses," said Argo at Jakarta Police headquarters, Wednesday (August 23).

However, decision of SP3 issuance would wait until the investigator finished reviewing the case. From then the petition of Habib Rizieq Shihab's legal counsel can be answered.

He only said dan emphazie if the decision would come from case review.

"We can't imagine or make speculation now, because it will be from the case review. It's not like math and we can't calculate the percentage," he added.

Habib Rizieq attorney, Sugito Atmo Pawiro, requested SP3 due to the lack of evidence presented by the police in his client case. He said at least there are two strong evidences that must be fulfilled.

The cleric was named as suspect in a alleged steamy conversation case that came to light when sexually explicit WhatsApp chats allegedly exchanged between Habib Rizieq and Firza Husein. The chats were leaked online.
