Setya Novanto denies all allegations

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Setya Novanto (Setnov) said all accusations against him were not true in alleged graft case of e-ID procurement project. He explained that the denial would be proved in the court.

"I believe that Allah Subhanahu Wataala knows what I was doing, God willing, that is not true," he said in Meeting Room of the House, in Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday.

Setnov also said he would appreciate the legal process and obey the rules. "I have not received (confirmation letter as suspect), but I have sent a letter to be immediately named as suspect, I will consult with my lawyer," he explained.

Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named Setnov as a suspect in alleged graft case of e-ID procurement project on Monday. KPK Chairman Agus Raharjo, said KPK has found two initial evidences to increase the number of suspects.

"KPK named SN, member of DPR RI from 2009 to 2011 as suspect. His benefit has causing state loses up to Rp 2.3 trillion from Rp 5.9 trillion of the procurement package," said Raharjo at KPK Building, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Monday.
