Wiranto links the terror acts to lone wolf attack

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Coordinating Minister of Politics, Law and Human Rights Wiranto linked the terrors to police with lone wolf attack or the terrorist who conducted the action outside their network.

Wiranto said internet connected affected the lone wolf, so the act of terror kept being global. "In Indonesia, some attacks were conducted by the lone wolves. It was not prepared, but it conducted by the people who were trapped by the internet,” said him at his office in Jakarta on Monday (July 3).

Wiranto said lone wolf terror was not a part of a network. It was a personal initiative. “It must be our concern,” he said.

According to Wiranto, civil society must try to prevent himself for being trapped by the internet. Strengthening on Pancasila (five pillars of state basis) understanding might be conducted. The strengthening of state defence was also being discussed by the National Defense Country.

 “Community Security system will also be activated by the Interior Ministry and the Police. It is very effective. Basically, we should not be careless,” he said.

Previously, police suspected the assailants of stabbing to two Mobile Brigade members at Falatehan Mosque, South Jakarta, was ISIS sympathizer. But, he was allegedly a lone wolf terrorist.
