REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAKASSAR -- The Australian Technology Network (ATN) of Universities, a networking of five leading universities is exploring cooperation on research with Hasanuddin University in Makassar, South Sulawesi province.
The ATN officials, represented by Yosephine Ratna accompanied by the Vice Consul Australia in Makassar, Anne Dickson met the Deputy Rector IV of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Budu here on Monday.
"The research will be carried out in five universities under ATN," Yosephine said.
ATN Universities consists of Royal Melbourne Institute of Techonology (RMIT), Curtin University Perth, University of South Australia, Adeleide, University of Technology Sydney, dan Quensland University of Technology (QUT).
Both sides discussed on the international cooperation under a theme if Developing Educational Cooperation at the Engineering Faculty of University of Hasanuddin.
The cooperation is expected to provide research projects for the students in collaboration with the Australian industry sectors.
Earlier, University of Keio, Japan is cooperating with four faculties in Hasanuddin University to improve the academic quality in the university.
The four faculties are Economy Business, Social and Politic Sciences, Engineering as well as Maritime and Fishery Sciences.
