REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Police confirmed here on Tuesday that a bomb had exploded at Solo city resort police station in the morning.

"Yes, it is true. A blast has occured in front of the Integrated Police Service Center at Solo city police resort headquarters, Surakarta, at 07.15am," head of National Police public information divisin, Senior Commissioner Martinus Sitompul said.

He said due to the incidenf a man suspected to be the perpetrator died while a police officer had sustained light injuries.

He believed the bomb was a low explosive bomb because "it did not damage the room beside the scene."
