REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Colombian Embassy of Indonesia held an 'Official Mail' exhibition in Indonesian to strengthen relationship with the countries of Southeast Asia. The exhibition was held in the Atrium of Pacific Place, Jakarta, 12th October to 1st November 2015.

The event with the theme 'Colombia and Southeast Asia, United in Diversity', was opened by the Ambassador of Colombia in Indonesia and ASEAN, Alfonso Garzón. Garzón said that this exhibition will show some of the diversity of flora and fauna in Colombia and in the ASEAN countries.

"Colombia itself is widely represented as a country that is known for the diversity of birds," said Garzón, in a press release received by Republika.co.id, Wednesday (14/10).

The diversity of species of birds was not only owned by Colombia, the exhibition 'Letters Mail' also showcased the diversity of poultry from ASEAN countries, such as Garuda as the official symbol of Indonesia, Jalak Bali from Bali Island, Masked Inseparable Lovebird from Laos, Eastern Kingfisher from Malaysia, and Common Terns of Singapore.

"The diversity of species of birds teach us about positive impact on the process of human migration in the world, which across a variety of obstacles," Garzón explained.

Garzón also brought a prominent Colombian artist named Diana Beltrán, who enlivened the exhibition by creating an art installation measuring 128 meters. Beltrán would present works of art that show the cultural diversity of Colombia and the ASEAN countries.

"All of these are just some of a number of examples that will be showed by the Embassy of Colombia for 21 consecutive days, at the Atrium Pacific Place in Jakarta," he added.
