REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- A lawmaker, Chair of Commission I at the parliament Mahfudz Sidiq said President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo had blocked discussion on state budget. His comment refers to the recent statement by the new president, who prohibited all ministers to attend meeting with House of Representatives as the parliament is still collided.

"Government has to set the revised state budget in January 2015. Ministries cannot work without budget," he said on on Tuesday, November 25.

He considers Jokowi's demand as a blunder, making condition between government and parliament become worse. The Vice Secretary General of Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) sees that the circulating letter shows government’s lack of understanding on constitution. "All ministers are ready. However, due to the letter, they apologize because they can't meet Commission I," he said.

He ensured that the parliament would work based on laws. The parliament will force ministers to attend the meeting if they reject the invitation.
