REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YOGYAKARTA - A storm devastated 27 houses in Golo Village, Yogyakarta, on Sunday at 14.00. Some other houses were also partly destroyed.

"The wind toppled three trees as well," an official in Yogyakarta, Sudaryanto, said on Sunday.

Yet, the 10-minutes storm neither caused any casualty nor injured people. Inhabitants are quickly hand in hand cleaning the ruined houses. "I was trying to shut my garage when the storm came from southwest. The storm blew the roof of my house," a victim said.

Operator Staff at Disaster Management in Yogyakarta, Budi Iwan Santoso, said his team helped the inhabitants to cut the fallen trees. It was the first time such storm  struck Yogyakarta and devastated houses. Sudaryanto blamed the extreme weather as the main cause in such natural irregularity.
