PAN eyes the first time voters

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDAR LAMPUNG - National Mandate Party (PAN) expects to get significant support from the first time voters in 2014 General Election. The first timers are considered as swing voters who still unsure to pick their political party. 

The Chairman of PAN Central Board, Zulkifli Hasan, said that his party prioritized in first time voters. "Swing voter has not set yet in choosing politics," Hasan said.

He added, the share of first time voters were about 20 to 30 percent of illegible voters in 2014 general elections. Unlike the more experienced voters who usually have permanent choice, the first timers usually focus on the party’s track record. Hasan said, to draw attention from the first timers, the party must accommodate their aspirations. PAN is a member of ruling coalition government.
