REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Metro Jaya Police Department's investigators have questioned 10 witnesses over the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) building's mezzanine floor incident in which 77 people were hurt.
"The investigators have questioned witnesses from all quarters, including college students, securities, and employees," Metro Jaya Police Department's spokesman Senior Commissioner Argo Yuwono noted here on Tuesday.
Yuwono revealed that the department will question some other witnesses who saw the mezzanine floor collapse.
The investigation is co-chaired by Deputy of General Criminal Investigation Adjunct Senior Commissioner Ade Ary and Head of the Ballistic Metallurgy Forensic Laboratory Senior Commissioner Ulung, and they have conducted a crime scene investigation.
Currently, the Metro Jaya Police Department's spokesman said 12 victims had been discharged and 61 people were still hospitalized.
Earlier, IDX's President Director Tito Sulistio had claimed that the trading of shares remained uninterrupted despite the incident occurred.
"The stock trading system of 180 security companies is running normally," Sulistio noted.
