Alexis ready to improve its image: Spokesperson

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Spokesperson of PT Grand Ancol Hotel, Lina, stated management of Alexis hotel and Griya Pijat Alexis (massage house) are aware of its image in the society. She admitted, Alexis's bad image is its weakness as business entity.

Lina also said, Alexis management is open to critics and sugesstions. Therefore, they are ready to improve their image. 

"Alexis has been identified as a bad place. So, we wil clean up. We will rearrange our management to get out of the negative stigma," Lina said at Alexis hotel, North Jakarta, on Tuesday.

Lina asked the people and media to stop judging Alexis unilaterally. She said, Alexis has been a law compliant of business entity in Jakarta. 

Alexis has never committed any violations nor receive sanctions from relevant agencies, she added. 

Jakarta provincial government has decided not to extend business permit of Alexis Hotel and Griya Pijat (Massage) Alexis. Both of entities needed tourism business certification (TDUP) to operate.

Governor Anies Baswedan said, the decision is a manifestation of his campaign promise. He received complaints and heard from the news that Alexis was operating as brothel.

"We are strict. We do not want Jakarta to be the city that allows prostitution practices," he said at Jakarta City Hall on Monday.
