REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indo Digital Volunteer Association Chairman, Anthony Leong, planned to report two minutes video campaign of Jakarta Governor candidate Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok)-Djarot Saiful Hidayat to Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI). 

Anthony said the the video harassing Indonesian President Joko Widodo as if the President has failed to maintain stability and security in Indonesia. "This was a very bad video. It harassed the President because they believed President can't maintain the security and political stability," he said. 

In one of its scene, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok)-Djarot Saiful Hidayat video campaign portrays a rally against Chinese ethnic. The rally was held by community who wear peci (fez). Although some might said it has become national identity, the fez is usually associated with Muslims. 

According to Anthony, Ahok-Djarot campaign material was no longer about diversity. It harassed the people by assuming they always has the character of violence. "It was an abuse to our common sense and abuse against the democratic system," Anthony said as the written statement received by Republika.co.id on Sunday (April 9).

The video was uploaded in the official Ahok's social media using the hashtag #BeragamItuBasukiDjarot. It has been retweeted thousand times. Anthony as non-Muslim said the video was published not in right moment. "The diversity was the fact, so don't always discuss it as if Jakarta is not ready to accept the diversity. I'm objected with the video. We reviewing and preparing to report to the commission," he said.

Anthony said the video as contradictory thing because Ahok always said about peace, diversity, and Pancasila (the state philosophy). It showed visual tension. "In the perspective of communication messages, visual and picture about it showed a terror," he said.

Digital Indo Volunteer Association has been registered to Ministry of Justice and Human Right on November 9,2016 accordance with law.
