REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian Developer Sinar Mas Land through PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk won an award for best financial performance. The "Best of the Best" award in 2015 was given to Sinar Mas Land in an event held by Forbes Indonesia in Jakarta, Wednesday (25/11).
In that event, Sinar Mas Land was represented by Managing Director President Office, Dhony Rahajoe. The "Best of the Best" award in 2015 was aimed at companies with the best financial performance in Indonesia. Financial performance of Sinar Mas land which was always positive even make PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk received this award four times in a row.
Sinar Mas Land was listed on Indonesian stock exchange in PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk, (BSDE). In early 2011, BSDE has completed acquisition of affiliated companies, namely PT Duta Pertiwi Tbk, PT Sinar Mas Teladan, and PT Sinar Mas Wisesa. The acquisition was expected to improve the performance of BSDE, especially income portfolio and business diversification of BSDE.
PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk was known through one of the giant projects, BSD City, which stands on an area of 6,000 hectares in the south of Jakarta. A number of international standard facilities have been built in the region including Indonesia Covention Exhibition (ICE BSD City) which become the largest convention center in Indonesia.
Sinar Mas Land was not only focusing in the local, since October 2015, Sinar Mas was successfully acquired one of the iconic commercial buildings in downtown of London, England, namely Alphabeta Building (AB) with a value of 259.3 million euros or 558.5 million US dollars or equivalent to Rp 5.5 trillion.
