REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CILACAP - The Nahdlatul Ulama Proselytizing Institute (LDNU) in Cilacap district, Central Java, has urged the local community to be wary of the efforts to replace the ideology of Pancasila.

"Many radical movements are now trying to replace the ideology of Pancasila with theirs, and therefore, the public, particularly the younger generation, should be on guard," LDNU Deputy Chairman Mochammad Taufick Hidayatulloh emphasized on Tuesday.

He noted that for Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) -as the biggest Islamic organizations in Indonesia- the ideology of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, Unity in Diversity principle, and the Unitary State of Indonesian Republic (NKRI) were definite and absolute to be enforced.

Mochammad reiterated that many radical movements in the name of Islam were leaving no stone unturned to replace the ideology of Pancasila with their ideology. He pointed out that Cilacap district was one of the areas in Central Java that was vulnerable to radical movements.

"Therefore, in the past three months, we have been trying to impart national insight related to the four main pillars of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, Unity in Diversity, and NKRI," he noted.
