Cianjur support its Muslim residents to recite Quran

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CIANJUR - Cianjur regency, West Java, encourages its Muslim residents to recite Quran, the Muslim's holy book. Quran recitation in Cianjur is part of program implemented in October 2014. 

"This program aims to produce one hafidz (Quran memorizer, Ed), one person per village," Cianjur regent, Tjetjep Muchtar Soleh said recently.

The program complies with Cianjur's vision to build noble attitudes based on Islamic values. Local government has allocated funds to support the program.

The funds will help hafidz of Quran to concentrate in memorizing the Holy book in 20 months. The program is expected to produced 360 hafidz who can memorize the whole Quran or at least one hafidz per village.
