Jimly Asshiddiqie is hospitalized

Jimly Asshiddiqie has gallstone and might need to have a surgery.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Indonesian Muslim Intelectuals Association (ICMI) chairman and fomer chief justice of the Constitutional Court, Jimly Asshiddiqie is currently being treated at MMC Hospital in South Jakarta. He was treated at ICU, but has been moved to patient room as his health condition got better.

“According to diagnosis result, Jimly has heart and lung disorders. Alhamdulillah (thank God) his condition is starting to improve, even though still under treatment,” said Jimly’s wife, Tuti Amalia on Friday (Nov 16).

Jimly’s health condition was reported dropped after his working visit to Padang, West Sumatra. The former Constitutional Court (MK) chairman then must be treated at ICU MMC Hospital on last Nov 11.

“Doctor team has conducted general check-up and found gallstone. He might need to have a surgery.” Tuti explained.

According to Tuti, doctor asked Jimly to have total bed rest until his health condition back to normal. She expected his husband health condition to be better soon.

“Please pray for my husband health condition. Hopefully he will get well soon and back to his normal activity as usual,” Tuti added.
