REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Chairman of Central Board of Gerindra party, Ahmad Riza Patria, said Prabowo Subianto is still the party's best candidate for 2019 presidential election. He hoped Prabowo will win in the election.
Riza said, for now Gerindra has not decided the candidacy of Prabowo Subianto in the 2019 presidential election.
"But, as political party cadres, we believe the best cadre to represent Gerindra in the election is Prabowo Subianto," he said at Election Commission office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (October 3).
According to Riza, Prabowo chance of being voted is getting bigger. "God willing, he will win," he said.
Based on the result of survey conducted by Media Survei Nasional (Median) published on Monday (October 2), Joko Widodo is still top other candidates. His chance of being voted is 36.2 percent.
Meanwhile, Prabowo is a runner up with 23.2 percent.
The third to five position in respective order are Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (8.4 percent), Anies Rasyid Baswedan (4.4 percent), General Gatot Nurmantyo (2.8 percent) and Jusuf Kalla (2.6 percent).
