REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Deputy governor of Jakarta, Sandiaga Uno, asked all citizens in this city to be patient regarding the reclamation policy. He said, reclamation project will be one of the issues to be discussed with central government imminently.

The meeting with President Joko Widodo, Sandiaga said, will be held in one or two days ahead.

"We have heard the people's aspiration on reclamation and our job is to stop reclamation. We are looking for a process that is really awaited by all citizens of Jakarta," Sandiaga said on Wednesday (October 18).

Sandiaga said the most important thing on the issue of reclamation was the openness and justice in every process.

He already asked Coordinating Maritime Affairs Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan to explain transperently the process of reclamation project and the issuance of policy to lift moratorum. Sandiaga said, the message was conveyed in a meeting with Coordinating Maritime Affairs Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan before Sandiaga inauguration as deputy governor,

"We want to emphasize that all these processes should be open," Sandiaga said.

According to Sandiaga, Luhut at that time could not explained firmly to his question about job opportunity and the kind of jobs that might be created by continuing reclamation. "There has been no study on that subject," he remarked.
