REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Vice Governor of Jakarta Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno urged Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati to review progress in the development of Banteng Field in Jakarta on Monday. Uno and Indrawati, wearing sporting clothes and carrying a ball, went around evaluating the nearly complete construction project.

They thereafter played the ball there. The finance minister noted that the Banteng Field will be ready in less than five months.

"I spoke to Mr. Uno about this unused park, as it has never been enjoyed by the people, to which he said that he would handle it. Now, his work says everything," she explained.

She commended the progress in the development of the Banteng Field. "I laud the improvement in this field, as a breath of fresh air for the lungs," she stated.

This park's concept is harmonious, modern, and healthy, as the space can be used by people of all ages comprising children, elders, and infants, she added.

Meanwhile, Uno conveyed that the progress in the development of the Banteng Field was the answer to Indrawati's challenge when she was in charge of overseeing the partnership between the government and business entities.

"The Banteng field is expected to increase the people's welfare, especially those living near it, as we create 700 jobs to be managed privately," he remarked.

The location of the field is strategic due to its proximity to the Office of the Ministry of Finance and Istiqlal Mosque. Furthermore, he will build other facilities to support the Banteng Field, such as a dance fountain and a gym room.

"Hopefully, the partnership between the government and business entities would be beneficial to society," he added.
