REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Nurse at Medika Permata Hijau hospital, Indri Astuti said that the bandage on Setya Novanto's head was given at the request of the patient's himself. She said Novanto asked it repeatedly.
Meanwhile, dr Bimanesh Sutarjo has not give instruction about it. "I was about to measure the patient's blood pressure but then doctor Bimanesh took over. He conveyed to the patient that the blood pressure was 180/110 mm/Hg. The patient remained silent. There was no instruction from doctor Bimanesh about the patien's condition," Indri said when testifying against ex-Novanto's lawyer, Fredrich Yunadi as defendant in an alleged obstruction of justice case in Corruption Court, Jakarta, on Thursday (April 5).

Since Novanto had been quiet, Indri was shocked when hearing him shouted. "When will I get bandaged?" the former House of Representatives speaker said in a high pitch.
Another nurse, namely Fitri, also was asked the same question twice by Novanto, Indri said. Indri visited Novanto twice when accompaniying Bimanesh.
The prosecutor also asked Indri about injuries suffered by Novanto. According to Indri, she did not aware of any wound. During the first measurement of the patient's blood pressure, she only saw a bump and a minor wound in Novanto's right elbow.
"It was no longer bleeding. Meanwhile, his left forehead did not bleed, just scratched," she explained.
Fredrich has been tried on allegation obstructing the investigation of his ex-client, who is now the defendant in e-iD card graft case. He also along with Bimanesh, an internist at Medika Permata Hijau hospital allegedly conspired to manipulate Novanto's medical record.
The prosecutors belived they made arrangement for Novanto to be hospitalized following a minor car accident in November 2017. Fredrich and Bimanesh alleged to violate Article 21 Law No. 31/1999 as amended by Law No. 20/2001 on Eradication Corruption, also in Article 55 paragraph (1) criminal code (KUHP).
