REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DHARMASRAYA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Thursday visited Solok District, after staying overnight in Dharmasraya District, also West Sumatra Province. The Head of State was accompanied by First Lady Iriana Widodo during the visit.
From Solok, Jokowi will proceed to Tanah Datar District. In the two districts, Jokowi was expected to distribute social and education allowance cards and inspect labor intensive projects.
The president is also expected to attend the 2018 National Press Day (HPN) anniversary in Padang
A series of welcome ceremonies will be held to commemorate the 2018 HPN including fun bikes on Saturday, mass gymnastics, "Minangkabau Run", seminar and journalistic exhibition, performing arts and culture, as well as a tourism promotion event.
The President and the First Lady on Wednesday evening stayed overnight in a two-star rated hotel "Jakarta Indah" located in the down town of Dharmasraya.
