KPK targets new suspect in e-ID card graft case

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Investigators of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) have summoned two officials of the Home Affairs Ministry in e-ID card procurement graft case. The investigators tried to target new suspect by questioning Irman and Sugiharto.

"Today, we summon Irman and Sugiharto in the further investigation of e-ID card corruption case for finding new suspect," KPK spokesperson Febri Diansyah said when confirmed on Monday (January 8).

Febri said, the investigation of e-ID card graft case will not stop. The anti-graft body will pursue all parties alleged involved in the high-profile corruption case that cost the state budget up to Rp2.3 trillion.

"Other parties allegedly involved in receiving corruption money will surely be pursued. We will process further as long as there is sufficient initial evidence," he said.

Febri explained, there were three clusters involved in e-ID graft case, namely political, bureaucratic and private sector. From political cluster, KPK has nailed Setya Novanto, Markus Nari and Miryam S Haryani. 

Meanwhile, Home Affairs Minister' officials, Irman and Sugiharto, came from bureaucratic cluster. From the private sector cluster, there were Andi Agustinus alias Andi Narogong and Anang Sugiana Sudihardjo.

Among those names, only Irman, Sugiharto and Andi Narogong that have already been sentenced by Corruption Court.
