REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Corruption Eradication Commsission (KPK) confirmed there was a new suspect in high profile e-ID card corruption case.

The anti-graft body has also issued a new investigation warrant (sprindik).

KPK also did not deny the existance of notice of commencement of investigation (SPDP) to House of Representatives speaker, Setya Novanto.

The photograph of SPDP to Setnov was circulating in the reporters since Monday. The letter registered with the number 113/01//10/2017 dated on October 31.

KPK spokesperson Febri Diansyah refused to comment on allegation that the photograph was leaked on purpose.

"I think KPK doesn't need to comment on the accusations. We can ascertain after Constitutional Court decision, the investigators are obligated to convey SPDP to the suspect or rapporteur," Febri added.

KPK has seven days to convey SPDP to parties related to the investigation process.

However, KPK still cannot give details of technical information, such as the name of the suspect or the other role in that case.

He said, the suspect's identity will be announce in a given time.

"We have issued investigation warrant on last October for the e-ID graft case. It was a new sprindik. And, we have name the suspect. We could not confirm technical information, such as SPDP or name of the suspect and other's role. But, we can ascertain that KPK to continue working on e-ID graft case," Febri said at his office on Tuesday.

Setnov once named a suspect in e-ID case in July, , which incurred an estimated Rp 2.3 million in state losses. He allegedly played a key role in a plan to swindle funds earmarked for the project.

He then filed a pre-trial suit against his status. On September 29, South Jakarta District Court judge Cepi Iskandar concluded that the naming of the suspect by the KPK is not in line with the procedures and Law No. 30 of 2002 on the KPK, Criminal code Procedure, and the standard operating procedure of the anti-graft body.

Setnov succeeded with a pretrial motion and invalid the suspect status on his e-ID graft case.
