REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Team of doctors in Singapore continued to examine senior investigator of Corruption Eradiction Commission (KPK), Novel Baswedan eyes. Today, they were schedulled to check Novel's retina which was injured due to an acid attack about 196 days ago.

"After 196 days of Novel's attack case, doctor team will examinate his retina and glaucoma screening. It will be performed by two specialist doctors," said KPK spokesman, Febri diansyah on Wednesday (Oct 25).

He explained further examination recommended by the doctors to maintain the condition of Novel's retina and fluid circulation in the eyeballs.

Febri said the doctors also will measure Novel's eyes pressure to check whether the patient has suffered glaucoma. Based on examination on October 19, doctors found no growth in the surface of the retina (not smooth) on Novel's left eye, which causes further surgery delayed for a while.

Novel's right eye was quite good with eye pressure about 17 mmHg. Meanwhie, doctor could not measure eye pressure for his left eye specificaly due to gums covered. However, the eye pressure estimated higher than right eye.

Novel's eyes were seriously damaged after he was attacked by two unidentified assailants who splashed acid onto his face in April.

The attack happened early morning on April 11, after he performed a morning prayer (subuh) in a mosque near his house in North Jakarta. The case has not been revealed.
