They gathered since 10.00 Indonesian Western Standard Time.

Perppu 2/2017 on Mass Organizations allows the government to disband an organization without due process.

A mass organization in Indonesia is required to adopt the four pillars of the nation: Pancasila, Unitary State of Republic of Indonesia, the 1945 Constitution, and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika or unity in diversity.

The issuance of the Perppu has drawn strong reactions from several politicians and law experts saying President Jokowi "has taken a fatal step leading the country into a dark era."

Until now, Perppu 2/2017 on Mass Organizations still become a controversial issue and triggered condemnation from the public and rights group, as they are worried it could threaten the freedom of association and expression.

By using the Perppu, government has disband Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) as the organization promotes the Islamic caliphate which is considered to contravene to Pancasila.
