REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Director of Special Criminal Investigation of Metro Jaya Police, Sr. Comr. Adi Deriyan Jayamarta, said police officers found thousands of people registered as members of nikahsirri.com.
"It turns out that there are already 5,300 (members), it increases from 2,700 after we trace all the data through our IT experts," said Adi in Metro Jaya Police headquarters, Tuesday.
However, the police still could not identify the 5,300 members. During registration in nikahsirri.com, the users were only asked for an email address just like registering for social media account. They have to pay for a dowry coin worth Rp 100 thousand.
"We will check whether they registered email provides correct identity," Adi added.
Currently, the police are still investigating the site, a few days after it officially launched, to reveal numbers of its members.
Aris Wahyudi, owner and founder of www.nikahsirri.com, was arrested by the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of Metro Jaya Police on charges of pornography and child protection. The site contains pornographic content under the guise of a dating agency offering a virgin auctions.
