Jasa Marga to issue rupiah-denominated global bonds in November

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAGELANG -- State-owned toll road operator PT Jasa Marga will soon issue rupiah-denominated global bonds worth Rp2 trillion to Rp3 trillion, State Enterprises Minister Rini Soemarno said.

"Preparations for the issuance of the bonds have been made. (The company) is only waiting for the rating from international rating agencies, such as Moody's and Standard & Poor, for the bonds. If the rating has been completed, the bonds will hopefully be issued in November 2017," Rini said on Monday.

The issuance of rupiah-denominated global bonds is aimed at reducing foreign currency risks.

"Since the bonds are issued in rupiah, investors will take the risk of foreign currency fluctuation. If we issue the bonds in dollar, we will take the risk," she said.

To attract investors to buy the bonds, PT Jasa Marga has held a non deal roadshow to offer the bonds to investors abroad, she said.

"Hopefully, the rating from the rating agencies could be concluded in October 2017 so we can offer the bonds to investors around November 2017," she said.

Jasa Marga President Director Desi Arryani said the non-deal roadshow was held in Hong Kong and Singapore, among others and received promising responses from
