KY asks Supreme Court to punish 33 judges

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Judicial Commission (KY) has recommended sanctions on 33 judges allegedly offending ethical codes on Guidelines for Judges' behaviors (KEPPH).

Light sanction is recommended for 27 judges, moderate sanctions for 5 judges, heavy sanction for a judge, KY spokesman Farid Wajdi said here on Wednesday. 

The largest number or 16 of the 33 judges were charged with typo error, 10 judges were accused of being non professional, three were allegedly being unfair, another three were accused of being dishonest and one was accused of failing to protect the good reputation of judge .

Farid said the Supreme Court has responded to the recommendations on four of the judges that it would take follow up steps on the recommendation.
