REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Chairman of Indonesian Scout Movement Adhyaksa Dault said he has sent a clarification letter to the minister of Youth and Sports Imam Nahrawi.

In the letter, he explained his presence at Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) event in 2013 was as a guest. "Three weeks ago I sent the letter. The minister has read it and said he wanted to meet me in person," Adhyaksa remarked.

 

Adhyaksa said the clarification letter was also sent to the president, vice president, and head of State Intelligence Agency (BIN).

Therefore, Adhyaksa would not come to the ministry office if not asked. "Why would I come without being asked? If he ask, I will come. But do not say that Adhyaksa was involved (in HTI). I was only attended an event in 2013," he said to Republika.co.id, on Tuesday (July 25).

Related to the delayed disbursement of scout fund, Adhyaksa said if the government decided to suspend the aid fund, he would try to find another source of fund to finance the scouting movement activities.

He would seek aid from private companies and state-owned companies's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund.

"If the fund does not come out, we may seek from CSR fund, report to the president or vice president. Ask from state-owned companies, private companies," he said.

Adhyaksa also revealed the plan to develop scout business center in Depok area, West Java. "Therefore, the Scout will not dependent on government funding. We will try, keep moving on," he remarked.
