REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR -- Indonesian Defence Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu said the country rejects all ideologies of Islamic State of Iraq dan the Levant (ISIS). He asserted although that organization was moving under the pretext of religion.

He has predicted from long time ago ISIS would came to Asia, especially in South East region. One of the main base of the group in this region is in Southern Philippines.

"Maybe two years ago people laughed and didn't believe ISIS would come to South East Asia. But, now we see they are growing, and suddenly appear around us," Ryacudu said when opening Indonesia International Defence Science Seminar at Aston Hotel, Sentul, Bogor, West Java, Wednesday (July 12).

However, in Southern Philippines, ISIS affiliated with Maute, a terrorist group that precisely based in Marawi City. ISIS has a terror plan with what they called Islamizing. But, their final goal is establishing the own state in every country or caliphate in South East Asia, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and last but not least Philippines.

"When speaking in Singapore, I said we could debate if ISIS grow in Middle East. But, if it came to Indonesia, I will challenge ISIS. I believe that I can destroy them. We will fight it," Ryacudu added.

According to Ryacudu, Indonesia can be an easy target for ISIS. The organization would have a change to affect and recruit people in the country. They would think that because majority of population here is Moslem.

Ryacudu tried to make ISIS' sympathizers felt offended by saying ISIS is not Islam for the religion did not grants heaven with killing others. Those who did it surely would be sent to hell, Ryacudu remarked.

"I want ISIS to be angry and show themselves out. Therefore, we could fight it," he reiterated.
