381 flights are delayed during homecoming

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – A number of flights were delayed at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport during the homecoming. Data from Lebaran Flight Post 2017 at Soekarno-Hatta Airport said the number of delayed for 10 airlines during H-7 (June 18) to H-4 (June 21) was reached 381 domestic flights.

The airlines were Garuda Indonesia, Lion Air, Batik Air, Citilink, Sriwijaya Air, NAM Air, Indonesia Air Asia Extra, Indonesia Air Asia, Kalstar and Trigana Air. The most delayed were happened to 239 flights. It was between 30 to 60 minutes. The other 113 flights were delayed for about 61-120 minutes or two hours.

There were 23 flights with longer range of delay for 121 to 180 minutes. Three flights also delayed for 181 to 240 minutes or over 240 minutes. On the same data, on time performance (OTP) of each airline were also included to measure service timeliness levels. The rules stated that there was compensation of every delayed, started from snacks. Refunds should be given for over four hours delay.
