REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Jusuf Kalla, represented by Advocates Care for Nationality (APK), reported the Chairman of Red and White Solidarity (Solmet) Silvester Matutina for defamation.
"The procuration asked by the investigators had been obtained from Mr. Jusuf Kalla’s family. Our report to the police had been received. It would be preceded with the investigation process,” said the attorney of APK M Ihsan in Jakarta on Monday (May 29).
Ihsan said Kalla’s daughter, Chaerani Kalla had gave him an authority to be his lawyer.
Silvester was reported for her speech during a demonstration in front of National Police Office, South Jakarta on May 15. She said many people became poor as Kalla’s family made many corruptions.
"This is defamation, slander. If he thinks Jusuf Kalla’s family had legal problems, he should make a report for a legal process. But if he said it in a speech, it is a slander,” he said.
Silvester also said that Kalla used issues on the ethnics, religions, races and groups to win Anies Baswedan-Sandiaga Uno in Jakarta gubernatorial election.
Ihsan submitted a transcript of Silvester speech to investigators. The report was administered under the number LP/554/V/2017/Bareskrim.
