Densus 88 picks up husband and wife related to terror bombing

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- Police's anti terror squad Densus 88 has picked up husband and wife from their house in the village of Paledang, Garut District, West Java. 

HR and his wife IS were arrested by Densus on Friday and were driven in a police car to the police office in Garut, district police chief Com. Oon Suhendar said.

Oon said Densus 88 backed up by local military and police also searched the house and took away two plastic bags containing apparently materials needed for investigation. 

The arrest of HR and IS followed the suicide bombing at a bus terminal in Jakarta on Wednesday killing three police officers and two suspected perpetrators.

A local military officer sergeant Iwan Ridwan confirmed the raid and the arrest of HR and his wife.

"Information I have, the arrest of the pair is related to the suicide bombing at Kampung Melayu in Jakarta," the sergeant said. 

Meanwhile, another team of the police' anti terror squad and West Java police raided houses in three separate place in West Java, where three terrorist suspects, who were arrested on Thursday had lived. 

"First we search the house of WS in Buahbatu, Bandung, and second the house of AK in Dayeuh Kolot, sub-district of Andir, regency of Bandung, and the third the house of JIS in Cisarua, Cimahi," West Java police spokesman Sr. Com. Yusri Yunus in Cisarua said on Friday. 

Densus 88 and local police confiscated evidence including laptop a set of personal computer, a number of hand phones, pans and documents, Yusri said. 

Yusri said the evidence and information from witnesses, the three suspects WS, AK, and JIS were believed involved in the Kampung Melayu bombing.
