REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Member of the House of Representatives Commission I from Nasdem Party, Supiadin Aries Saputra said, the remake of G30S / PKI movie must not remove the PKI (Communist Party of Indonesia) rebellion as the substance.
He said, the new movie of G30S / PKI could not be separated from the actual events. He stressed, the PKI revolt against the legitimate government of Indonesia at that time really occured.
"Substance that PKI rebelled against the legitimate Indonesian government in 1965 must not be removed," he said, Monday (September 25).
Without a shifting in its substance, the new movie G30S / PKI can be made in animation version, he said. It could bring history closer to the younger generation, especially for children.
"For children we can make animation version," he explained.
Related to violent scenes in G30S / PKI movie, Supiadin said, the film director can create another scene without changing the historical message.
According Supiadin, to make new movie about PKI rebellion need a long time to re-explore the history of insurgency by the communist party.
Movie directors and casts could learn about the history of G30S / PKI through the heirs of the victims murdered by PKI.
"We come to the museums of TNI that describes about PKI rebellion, Lubang Buaya Museum, Satria Mandala Museum, we can learn PKI rebellion history there," he said.
