KPK presents expert on psychology in Miryam's pre-trial

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) presented two experts in the pre-trial of Miryam S. Haryani's case. Three witnesses would strengthen KPK in sentencing Miryam as a suspect of BLBI mega-corruption case.

The Head of KPK's Legal Bureau, Setiadi, said the witnesses consisted of a witness, an expert on law and an expert on psychology.  

"The witnesses were Mrs. Ratih Ibrahim as an expert on psychology, Mr. Nur Azis as an expert on criminal law, and Wawan as the prosecutor of KPK," said Setiadi in South Jakarta District Court on Thursday (May 18). 

The expert on psychology was presented to explain how the condition of the witness during the examination. It hoped to show Miryam's psychological condition when giving the false information. KPK hoped the single judge could gain the information from the witnesses fairly.

Previously, Setiadi said to reveal the video of Miryam's examination. The video would show whether KPK intimidated the former member of Commission II of the House of Representatives, as Miryam stated.  

This was the third trial held in South Jakarta Distric Court. Miryam was stated as a suspect on May. 

She denied it and she decided to ran away. She had been a police and KPK's fugitive. After being arrested, she submitted a pre-trial.
