KPK refuses to share recording of investigation against Miryam to DPR

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Fahri Hamzah had officially signed an inquiry right during the plenary session on Friday (April 28). But, the Spokesperson of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Febri Diansyah said basically KPK could not share their evidences and result of investigation to DPR. 

Febri said KPK had not receive any information or official letter about the inquiry rights. KPK knew it from the spreading information.  

"KPK is still considering to convey official statement and action about this," said Febri in the KPK Building on Tuesday (May 2).

According to Febri, KPK has already stated that the institution could not reveal any part of evidence related to the case. Therefore, KPK refused to share the record of Miryam S. Haryani's conversation with KPK investigators.  

"We can't share it outside the courtroom. Whether it is in the form of examination process recording or other evidence," he reiterated.

National police arrested Miryam at Grand Kemang area, South Jakarta, on Monday (May 1) at 02.00 a.m. She became fugitive after running away to avoid KPK investigators. 

Miryam is a suspect of e-KTP (e-ID card) corruption case handled by KPK. The case generated Rp 2.3 trillion of state loss. Miryam was alleged for giving false information during the examination of the case.
